Where and when do I need to be on the bus to the starting line?

If you are not interested in riding the bus to the start, you are welcome to have someone else drop you off at the starting line (Map to starting line at Highland Park). Just make sure you are dropped off by 6:30 am and avoid the buses. If you arrive after 6:30 am you will not be able to get into the neighborhood and will need to walk/run up from Telegraph Dr. which is about a mile to the start.  There will be NO PARKING in the neighborhood or along Highland Dr. There is a LOT of residential construction and cannot accommodate personal vehicle parking this year. 

BUS TRANSPORTATION to Start: Buses will leave to take runners from Bloomington Park between 5:30am and 6:15am to take you to the start line at Highland Park in Washington.  

Where is packet pick-up, and when?

Packet Pick-up will be at the St George Running center (2736 E Red Cliffs Dr #5, St George Utah 84790) on Thursday 4/18 from 2-7pm and Friday 4/19 from 2-7pm.

IMPORTANT: There will be NO RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP.

Do I need to ride the bus to the starting line?

No, in fact, this year we encourage you to carpool and have someone drop you off. Where are the aid stations?

Aid Stations will be located close to mile markers 2.25, 4, 6, 8.5, 10.5, 11.75.  Water and Gatorade will be provided at each station. Gu will also be at miles 6 and 10.5.  Porta Potties will be at miles 4 , 6 and 10.  Please remember to keep your distance as you rest on the grass from your event.

Where are good places to cheer for our runner during the race?

You have several good locations to go cheer for your runner.  Always remember to be aware of traffic  and runners. At mile 4 runners will be running through Sulivan Soccer Park, Washington.  Mile 6 Aid station on Waterfront Dr. St. George. Between miles 8-9 at the Doctor’s Free Clinic on Riverside Dr, St George. Mile 10 at the Confluence Trail Head and of course  the finish line at Bloomington Park.

Is the course chip timed?

Yes, the course will be chip timed.  Chips will be located on the back of your bibs so make sure to put your bib in a viable location. Also make sure not to bend or alter your bib so that it can be electronically read correctly as you go across the start and finish lines.  Do not crinkle or bend your bib.

What is the time limit for completing this Utah Half Marathon?

The finish line will close at 4 hours  – Finisher medals will be presented only to half marathoners finishing under the 4 hour time limit.  The Half Marathon course and Aid Stations will also be closing down according to the 4 hour pace as well.

Are the miles marked?

Yes.  Each mile will have a marker.

Is there a place I can drop off my gear during the half marathon?

Yes.  We will have a vehicle and gear drop zone at the start to take your gear to the finish line.  Please remember to put your gear in a bag with your race number on it.  Doing so will help the volunteers in sorting the bags.  All clothing dropped along the course and at aid stations will be donated.

What is the average temperature on race day?

Sunrise will be at  6:45 am. Race start is 7:00am.  The average high is 76F, average low is 46F.
